Went out to the lake to try and catch a carp. I got several bluegills, greens, and longears using the pink berkeley maggots I used last time I came to the creek. I even caught a small bass with the berkeley bait sitting under a bobber. Water in the creek is still low, but the path has been cleared. Just stay to the left of the “trail” markers.
I decided to try and catch a carp with my fly rod. I spooked about 20 of them sitting in shallow water, and actually casted to six. Caught one two pounder on a black wooly bugger in about two feet of water.
