Loyd Park – Temperature was 92 degrees at 2pm. Water temp was 80 – 83 degrees. I missed my first fish on the first cast because I did not set the hook quick enough. I could not find a bluegill or greenie anywhere in the creek. Bass were everywhere and I found two crappie. One bass was caught with a silver/white popper on the fly rod.
I lost two road runners in the trees, and had to unhook my popper around four times. I didn’t catch anything with the spinner bait, but I caught several with a small silver crank bait. I decided to troll that silver crank bait while I was leaving and caught four small bass on the way to my truck.
