Weather was exactly like yesterday. Water temps at 60 degrees. I found a bunch of fish at the SSL chasing minnows. They were not near any structure, but sitting close to it. I was casting road runners past the structure and slow reeling it past the structure. Caught over 30 at one location.
There were a bunch of small crappie sitting in the middle of the creek. Small being around six inches. Every time my lure passed over them, I would get a light tap and a small fish would be on. I had five nice keepers, but realized I forgot my cooler when I loaded up. I released them in one of the spots I normally catch crappie. I’ll go back for them next week.
